Solutions Consulting Group (SCG) Rolls Out E-Business Integration Solution for Total Training

SAN DIEGO - November 3, 2004 - Solutions Consulting Group (SCG) the largest IT services firm in San Diego focusing on development and integration using Microsoft .NET, today announced it has completed an integrated e-business solution for Total Training using Microsoft Commerce Server, Microsoft Great Plains, and Microsoft CRM.

As a leading provider of high-quality video based training for software programs, Total Training enjoys a strategic partnership with Adobe that includes distribution of its products inside many Adobe software packages. To support its growing product line and customer base, Total Training required a fully integrated front office/back office solution that incorporates real-time web order processing for both internal sales and external customers.

In addition, real-time integration with Great Plains was required for true automation of the sales order process. Total Training also needed to route contact and lead information to the appropriate sales and service personnel to create greater efficiencies in the sales process.

Total Training retained SCG based on the company's proven track record of complex Great Plains implementations requiring deep technical skills.

"We had very specific and complex goals for our e-commerce, sales and customer service programs," said Chad Nelley, Director of Operations and IT at Total Training. "We needed a CRM tool that would integrate our specific workflow requirements to give our sales force quick and easy access to customer data plus allow them to process transactions through a web based order entry system. By leveraging the suite of Microsoft technologies we have been able to streamline our sales workflow and order entry processes resulting in increased outbound call activity. SCG was a key partner for Total Training in this project and we are looking forward to working with SCG on future IT projects."

In order to define the appropriate solution for a fast-moving company such as Total Training, while mitigating risk of change, a significant amount of resources were employed by SCG and Total Training during the scope definition phase. As a result of this collaborative one-month phase, SCG produced a Business Requirement Document, Vision\Scope Document, Gap Analysis Document, and a Functional Specification Document. Through the use of these tools SCG was better enabled to manage scope and ensure a predictable outcome, while utilizing newer technologies such as SQL Reporting, Commerce Server, and Microsoft CRM integrated with Great Plains.
