Initiate the Process
In order to customize and tailor a solution that fits your specific business needs we conduct a Great Plains Solution Assessment. Using Microsoft best practices, we begin the process by establishing our client's baseline business and hardware requirements. We review all in-house and vendor documentation, and audit our client's existing hardware infrastructure. After compiling and verifying our initial findings, we continue by scheduling interviews with key personnel.

Define and Document Business Requirements
During interviews with key personnel, we validate business requirements. By scheduling structured interviews with managers, front line users, and IT personnel we identify roles and responsibilities, establish executive requirements and confirm priorities. After gathering first hand information, we thoroughly organize, classify, and validate all areas of our client's existing business and IT processes including goals and priorities before continuing with the next phase, the solution assessment.

Develop Great Plains Assessment
Having ensured that all of our client's business and system requirements are thoroughly documented, reviewed and evaluated, we now match your requirements to Great Plains functionality. During the solution assessment, we determine which Great Plains modules, customizations, and third party modules will be necessary. We also evaluate server software requirements and client-server hardware compatibility. Based on our evaluation, we develop and document an implementation plan and integration assessment which covers hardware and software requirements, integration requirements, and application architecture. Concurrently, we develop a delivery timeline, project assessment, vision scope document, and a business process outline. We complete this phase by finalizing the project scope and producing assessment findings documentation.

Obtain SCG and Client Acceptance
Before proceeding further, SCG internally reviews all assessment findings, focusing on the project scope and delivery timeline. After obtaining partner acceptance, we prepare and deliver a solution presentation for our clients' management. If the appropriate decision-makers grant approval, we obtain partner commitment to proceed. We are now ready to employ the SCG Assessment Framework to take the project through life cycle.
