Job Description: This person will be responsible for developing and designing data integration between outside databases, software applications and Great Plains. They will also be tasked with creating stand alone applications that integrate with Great Plains, as well as be required to generate ad-hoc reports and develop and maintain other financial, billing and reporting applications. This person will also advise and provide technical support to Accounting/Finance Departments on best practices in using Great Plains, as well as create users, manage security and perform maintenance procedures. Skills: Must possess 5-7 years of Great Plains 8.0 or higher experience and 3-5 years experience with SQL Server, DTS packages, stored procedures, Views, SQL, .NET and Visual Basic. Must also have a thorough knowledge of Crystal Reports, FRx Financial Reporter, FRx Forecaster and eConnect, as well as a knowledge of the following modules in Great Plains: GL, AP, AR and Fixed Assets. Must also be able to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision and guidance and provide written technical documentation, as well as provide written weekly status reports. Biz Talk knowledge and a combination of knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance are preferred. Microsoft Business Solutions Certified Master in Great Plains Installation and Configuration, as well as experience with PeopleSoft is a plus. Experience in an Object Oriented language and designing applications using the .NET Framework. Strong relational database skills, table schema design, stored procedure development and application tuning. Strong Understanding of web servers and network environments (firewalls, IP's, etc.) and reporting packages, such as Crystal Reports and Active Reports.
